Nigerians who patronize
drinking joints and beer
parlours have been warned by
the leadership of the Nigeria
Police Force against engaging in
life-threatening contests.
This warning followed the death
of Azeez Muideen, a 28-year-old
commercial motorcyclist (Okada
rider), last Wednesday after
taking too much alcohol in a bid
to win a drinking competition.
It was learnt that on the day of
the incident, Azeez and some
friends had a drinking contest.
He took excess alcohol after
which he suddenly slumped.
According to residents of Aso
Rock Villa, Ebute Road, along
Lagos-Ibadan Expressway,
where the incident occurred,
Azeez alone consumed two
bottles of brandy before the
unfortunate incident.
Immediately his friends realised
that he had slumped, they
dumped his corpse near a
gutter and took to their heels.
His remains were later
recovered and taken to the
Ibafo Police Division. Policemen
at the station took the body to a
nearby hospital, where Azeez
was confirmed dead.

17 Years Old Absconds Home Over Circumcision Excercise
17-year-old girl, Miss Patricia
Youmgbo, has been declared
missing by family members after
she reportedly fled home to
avoid circumcision.
The News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) learnt that the girl's
decision to run away from
home followed the death of her
younger sister, Joy, after she
was forced to undergo
circumcision on January 15.
An uncle to the missing girl, Mr.
Jonah Youmgbo, told NAN that
Patricia had fled the family home
in Amassoma, Southern Ijaw
Local Government Area of
Bayelsa since Feb. 14.
Youmgbo said that the two
sisters, who lived in Lagos, had
came home in December 2012
to spend the Christmas with
their grandmother in
Amassoma.
He said that the girls’
grandmother and some
extended family members had
ordered the girls to be
circumcised before returning to
Lagos.
NAN learnt that it was the
decision of the family that led to
the forced circumcision of Joy, a
development that triggered the
excessive bleeding that
eventually led to her death.
Youmgbo, who lamented the
death of the teenager, said that
Joy, who was full of life before
the forced circumcision, died
from injuries as a result of the
crude traditional practice of
female genital mutilation.
He explained that the victim,
suffered severe excruciating
pains for days after the
mutilation of her genital before
her death.
Youmgbo said that medical
reports obtained after the death
of Joy, showed that the 15-year-
old died of "Post Circumcision
haemorrhage''.
NAN learnt that it was the fear
of falling victim of the same
circumcision that made the
elder sister, Patricia to flee the
community since Feb. 14.
Youmgbo, who is a brother to
the girls’ father, told NAN that a
case of missing person had
since been reported at the
Amassoma Divisional Police
headquarters.
He used the opportunity to call
on Nigerians and Ijaw people in
particular to desist from the
“obnoxious” tradition of female
genital mutilation.

Man Survives In Snow Trapped Car For Two Months Without Food OR Water
A Swedish man was dug out
alive after being snowed in to
his car on a forest track for
two months with no food,
police and local media
reported on Saturday.
The 45-year-old from southern
Sweden was found Friday,
emaciated and too weak to
utter more than a few words.
He was found not far from the
city of Umea in the north of
Sweden by snowmobilers who
thought they had come across a
car wreck until they dug their
way to a window and saw
movement inside.
The man, who was laying in the
back seat in a sleeping bag, said
he had been in the car since
December 19.
"Just incredible that he's alive
considering that he had no
food, but also since it's been
really cold for some time after
Christmas," a rescue team
member told regional daily
Vasterbottens-Kuriren, which
broke the news.
Ebbe Nyberg, duty officer at the
Umea police, said police saw no
reason to doubt that the man
had been stuck in the car for a
very long time.
"We would not make something
like this up. The rescue services
were on site too and saw the
same as us," he told
Vasterbottens-Kuriren.

Girl Bears Baby Boy For Her Father (Incest?)
ather says act was consensual,
Father and daughter agree to
committing incest that
produced a baby boy. But while
f
daughter claims she was
hypnotised.
For 24 years, Zina didn’t know
her biological father. As a
growing child,
she had
repeatedly been told by her
mother that her father was in
Jos, Plateau State, then in Lagos.
Unable to withstand the
resultant mockery from friends
and classmates,
Zina demanded
to be taken to her father,
sometimes refusing to eat for
days.
At last, her demand of several
years was granted two years
ago,
when she was taken to her
father in Amuwo Odofin area of
Lagos
.Today, Zina is 26 year-old.
But, unfortunately, she is
enmeshed in an abominable act
which stigma is likely to remain
with her for the rest of her life.
Reason?
She claims to have a
ten-month old son whose father
is no other person than her
father (names withheld).
Zina alleged that her father was
the first man to have carnal
knowledge of her. Asked how
that was possible,
she claimed
her father usually hypnotized
her anytime he wanted to sleep
with her.
The suspected victim of incest
narrated: “
I demanded to know
my father and also to stay with
him so that I could do
something better with my life. I
thought, when I got to his place,
he would fix me into a skilled
job.
“But when I got there, it was
another ball game altogether. It
all started with his over-
monitoring nature. Anytime I
went to my place of work, my
father would come and check if
I was there or if any man came
to visit me. I thought it was just
this fatherly protective measure
for their daughters.
Then one day, he gave me some
concoction at night, saying it
was for malaria . But after I took
it, I did not know where I was
and, before I knew it, I slept off
and, when I woke up , I
discovered I was naked and
was bleeding. This continued
several times.”
Asked if she told anybody, Zina
replied, “ I did not tell anybody
that first time because he
threatened to send me back to
my mother if I did. He continued
that way until I became
pregnant. Even when I was
pregnant, I never knew.
It started from being dizzy and
when I complained, he gave me
some drugs to take,which made
my stomach rumble for days.
When I could not bear the pain
any longer, I had to contact
someone who in turn contacted
my mother”.
On arrival, her mother was said
to have taken her to hospital
where tests were carried out on
her and results showed she was
six months pregnant. The 39-
year-old mother of the girl, Rose
Nwogugu, was devastated.
Zina remained with her father in
that state until she gave birth to
a male child who has striking
resemblance with his
grandfather.
Lack of care for
both the nursing mother and
her child reportedly prompted
Nwogugu, mother of the incest
victim, to alert the police who
arrested the father.
“What have I done to deserve all
these?”, Zina’s mother asked
Sunday Vanguard. rhetorically.
Information showed that the
single mother had suffered
several misfortunes in life. First
was the pregnancy that
produced Zina, twenty -six years
ago, when she was barely 13
years.
She was reportedly impregnated
while in form two. Then, the
man responsible (Zina’s father)
was a trader in Jos. The
pregnancy distorted her
education, as her furious
parents refused giving her out
in marriage, on the grounds
that she must finish her
secondary education first.
Looking back with regret,
Nwogugu said” “
This man
(pointing to the father of her
child) has put me into so much
trouble. Part of it is that I have
not been able to marry since
then. He got me impregnated
when I knew nothing about life.
Even at that , he never bothered
to check on his daughter. I
reluctantly took my daughter to
him so that he could at least play
his fatherly role on her. I never
knew it would turn out this way.
I came to check on her when I
heard he was not taking care of
her only for me to discover that
my daughter had been
impregnated by her own
father”.
On why he decided to sleep
with his daughter in the first
place, the suspect blamed it on
spiritual forces beyond his
control.
“If I tell you it has got more to
do with spiritual forces, you may
not believe me . But it is true.
This spiritual thing is true. I was
cursed by one of my uncles
without any fault of mine. He
placed a curse on me that I will
never do well in life.
Since then, anytime I have
money at hand, it will just
disappear. I have been going
from pillar to post all these
years, struggling to make ends
meet but no way. Look at me, is
it proper for a man my age to be
unmarried? Eh- hen, that is what
I am saying. This thing
happening to me is not
ordinary.”
On why he chose his daughter
instead of a female friend, he
said, “I do not have a girl friend.
It all started when she started
telling people that I am not her
father. When her mother
brought her to me in 2009, I
could not take care of her
because I was poor. I could not
feed myself, let alone another
person. It is not that I never had
plans for her but things were
tight for me, that I had to take
her to my elder sister’s place.
But she later brought her back
saying my daughter had some
problem.
I then got a place at Mile Two
park where she could be
managing in a restaurant. While
there, she kept telling people
that I was not her father. Out of
annoyance, I took her away
from there and got her another
place, yet the case was the
same.
At a point I begged her to stop
denying me before the world
but she would not stop. Then I
removed her from there and
made her to stay at home with
me for four months before I
took her to learn fashion
designing where she repeated
same thing”
Asked how he got his
daughter’s consent in the
atrocious act, he said, “It
happened one night. I did not
tell her anything. I only crept to
her and started fondling her.
She did not put up any
resistance; so I had carnal
knowledge of her. This
continued until her mother
came to inform me she was
pregnant. She never told me she
was pregnant. I could not also
deny it because when the baby
was born he looked very much
like me.
“I did not hypnotize her as she
claimed. The only concoction I
gave to her was for malaria
because there are lots of
mosquitoes where we lived and
I did not want her to suffer
from malaria. Her claim that I am
the first man in his life is also a
big lie. This is because she was
not a virgin when I slept with
her. I am an adult and I know
how it feels like with a virgin.”
Asked whether he felt any
remorse the first time he slept
with his daughter, he shook his
head and said,
“ remorse? no.
There was nothing like that. It
was just like any other girl”.
On what he wanted to do with
the product of the pregnancy,
he remained calm refusing to
talk.
Even when he was asked
what the name of the child was,
he directed this writer to her
daughter.
Meanwhile, 10-month old baby
clung to her mother , crying and
struggling at the same time to
remove her blouse in an attempt
to reach out for her breast.
Unknown to this innocent child,
an abominable incident capable
of stigmatizing his image, had
occurred.

place, yet the case was the
same.
At a point I begged her to stop
denying me before the world
but she would not stop. Then I
removed her from there and
made her to stay at home with
me for four months before I
took her to learn fashion
designing where she repeated
same thing”
Asked how he got his
daughter’s consent in the
atrocious act, he said, “It
happened one night. I did not
tell her anything. I only crept to
her and started fondling her.
She did not put up any
resistance; so I had carnal
knowledge of her. This
continued until her mother
came to inform me she was
pregnant. She never told me she
was pregnant. I could not also
deny it because when the baby
was born he looked very much
like me.
“I did not hypnotize her as she
claimed. The only concoction I
gave to her was for malaria
because there are lots of
mosquitoes where we lived and
I did not want her to suffer
from malaria. Her claim that I am
the first man in his life is also a
big lie. This is because she was
not a virgin when I slept with
her. I am an adult and I know
how it feels like with a virgin.”
Asked whether he felt any
remorse the first time he slept
with his daughter, he shook his
head and said,
“ remorse? no.
There was nothing like that. It
was just like any other girl”.
On what he wanted to do with
the product of the pregnancy,
he remained calm refusing to
talk.
Even when he was asked
what the name of the child was,
he directed this writer to her
daughter.
Meanwhile, 10-month old baby
clung to her mother , crying and
struggling at the same time to
remove her blouse in an attempt
to reach out for her breast.
Unknown to this innocent child,
an abominable incident capable
of stigmatizing his image, had
occurred.
Pastor Commits Suicide In Nasarawa State
A clergy man, Mr. Enoch Massin,
in Nasarawa town of Nasarawa
state has committed suicide by
hanging.
Family sources and police
authorities told leadership
Sunday that the late Massin, an
unemployed professional
teacher who was sacked by his
employers three times within
one year; in 2011 told his wife
who resided that he wanted to
visit his home town , Akwanga
where he omitted the suicide.
The deceased reportedly
concealed the rope with which
he hung himself when he got to
the village. The teacher’s
younger brother, Godwin
Massin who confirmed the
incident told our reporter that:
‘There was actually no reason
for anyone to have suspected
anything when he arrived his
village. He discussed with his
relatives and entered his room.
It was when his meal was ready
and the lady who served the
food went to call him, that he
discovered him dangling from
the noose tight to the ceiling’
LEADERSHIP SUNDAY gathered
that arrangements were being
made to bury his remains, while
sympathisers thronged the
community to commiserate with
the family members.
The decease was said to have
left a note where he wished that
the epitaph on his grave should
read "Here lies a man who died
for what he believed in”
Leadership Sunday findings
revealed that the family of the
deceased has a history of
committing suicide. Two of the
late man’s uncles had committed
suicide some years ago when
the family lost a court case over
a farmland
In a separate development an
ex-soldier, Baba Abeku has
drilled young ladies in Nasarawa
town when a baby was found
concealed in a polythene bag
and dumped in drainage near
the palace of a local chief in the
town.
Report has it that on
discovering the dead on an
baby, the ex warrior in an
attempt to fish out the lady who
committed the act summoned
scores of unmarried ladies in
area and some kind of military
precision drilled in the process
dipping his hands in their
private parts whether he could
trace blood.
The action of the old soldier did
not produce any result, but was
widely condemned by some
elders who posited that the
offence could not have been
committed by only unmarried
ladies.
Our reporter gathered that
attempt by some parents to
have the soldier arrested by
police was resisted by some
youths yesterday

MADNESS!!!! White Couples Get Married Naked In Jamaica
The things you hear and see for
that matter.
As part of a filmed documentary,
the Hedonism II resort invited
ten couples for an all-expense
paid group ceremony where
everyone would get married on
valentine’s day in the nude. One
couple however, dropped out
before the big day.
The 10 couples had been
selected from a stack of 100
applications asking a myriad of
questions, including why they
wanted to start their life
together in the nude.
The Valentine’s day ceremony
was the first nude wedding
event at the Jamaican resort
since 2003. There had been
controversy over nude
weddings in 2001 when
Simpson Miller, then Jamaica’s
tourism minister, said getting
married without clothes was at
odds with how Jamaica should
be marketed.
According to Zein Issa-Nakash, a
marketing vice president of
Superclubs, which owns

there were no protests by locals
and pastors as there was a

"I Love My Mother And I Want To Marry Her" - Zimbabwean Man
Betty
A Masvingo woman and her son
have fallen in love with one
another. And now they want to
marry since the mom,
Mbereko from Mwenezi in
Masvingo, is six months
pregnant and expecting her
son's child.
Mbereko (40), who was
widowed 12 years ago, has
been cohabiting with her first
child, Farai Mbereko (23).
She confirms that she is six
months pregnant and that she
has decided it is better to
"marry" her son
because she
does not want to marry her
late husband's young brothers,
whom she says are coveting
her.
Betty stunned a village court last
week when she said the affair
with her son had begun three
years earlier.
She said after spending a lot of
money sending Farai to school
following the death of her
husband, she felt she had a
right to his money and no
other woman was entitled to
it.
"Look, I strove alone to send
my son to school and no one
helped me. Now you see that
my son is working and you
accuse me of doing something
wrong. "Let me enjoy the
products of my sweat," she
told the village court.
Farai said he was more than
prepared to marry his mother
and would pay off the ilobola
balance his father had left
unpaid to his grandparents.
"I know my father died before
he finished paying the bride
price and I am prepared to pay
it off,"
he said.
"It is better to publicise what is
happening because people
should know that I am the one
who made my mother pregnant.
Otherwise they will accuse her
of promiscuity."
But local headman Nathan
Muputirwa says:
"We cannot
allow this to happen in our
village, mashura chaiwo aya,
(This is a bad omen indeed). In
the past they would have to
be killed but today we cannot
do it because we are afraid of
the police." He warned them
to break off their marriage or
leave his village.
They chose the latter and have
left the village for an unknown
destination.

American Man Kills His Brother Over Food
A Pennsylvania man was
arrested on Wednesday night
after he allegedly stabbed his
brother several times over a
McDonald's brownie.
Cops said that Erik "Eggs" Cain
and his brother Gene Cain got
into an argument when Gene
cut the treat in half. The share
tactic was apparently enough to
enrage Erik, because he picked
up three steak knives and
allegedly slashed and stabbed
Gene in the left forearm, left
shoulder and right wrist.
"[Gene] thought his brother was
going to kill him," so he
responded by throwing a
television at Erik, police Sgt.
Joseph Laguzzi wrote in a
report obtained by the
newspaper.
Erik fled, but was later collared
and charged with aggravated
assault, reckless endangerment,
harassment and disorderly
conduct.
But it wasn't Erik's first run-in
with cops. At the time of the
alleged stabbing incident, Erik
had been out on bail after being
charged with slashing his
girlfriend last month

Shocking! Osama Bin Laden Wanted to Marry Whitney Houston
Osama bin Laden lusted after
Whitney Houston, dreamed of
marrying her and at one point
even plotted to murder her
husband Bobby Brown, a new
book has claimed.
The incredible account of the
terrorist's infatuation with the
late singer comes from
Sudanese author Kola Boof, who
it is widely accepted lived with
him as his mistress.
It was 1996, and just a few
years later Bin Laden would
mastermind the most appalling
terrorist attack ever to happen
on American soil.
But holed-up in his Moroccan
compound he had different
things on his mind, namely sex,
smoking cannabis and dancing
to western pop groups like the
B52s and Van Halen.
Boof, who claims she was kept
as a "sex slave" by the world's
most dangerous terrorist, said
he thought the singer was "the
most beautiful woman he'd ever
seen" and that he was
desperate to marry her.
In an autobiography released in
2006, Boof claims bin Laden
plotted to have Brown
murdered before wooing
Houston by giving her a
mansion he owned in the
suburbs of Khartoum.
According to her account, the
strongly racist bin Laden puffed
on cannabis before announcing
he would be willing to "break
his colour rule" and make
Houston one of his wives.
Inside his warped mind he
believed Houston was truly
Islamic but had been
brainwashed by American
culture.
Boof, who is black, claimed bin
Laden scolded her for braiding
her hair and ordered her to
model herself on Houston
instead.
"He smoked a little marijuana
from a gold hookah, sipping his
tea and instructing me that I
was always to keep hot tea for
his 'kif-canbo', to ease the burn
in his chest," the Daily Mail
quoted Boof as writing in her
book.
"Osama said only monkeys
braid their hair. He told me that
the singer Whitney Houston was
the most beautiful woman he'd
ever seen and that she never
wore her hair braided.
"'I want you to fix your hair like
hers from now on,' he said. 'I
can't put my fingers through it
when it's braided.
"Osama kept coming back to
Whitney Houston. He asked if I
knew her personally when I
lived in America. I told him I
didn't.
"He said that he had a
paramount desire for Whitney
Houston, and although he
claimed music was evil, he
spoke of someday spending
vast amounts of money to go to
America and try to arrange a
meeting with the superstar.
"It didn't seem impossible to
me. He said he wanted to give
Whitney Houston a mansion that
he owned in a suburb of
Khartoum. He explained to me
that to possess Whitney he
would be willing to break his
colour rule and make her one of
his wives.
"I tried to hide my outrage at
his racist remarks, but it would
come to pass that for the entire
time that I would be trapped in
his palm, Whitney Houston's
was the one name that would
be mentioned constantly.
"How beautiful she is, what a
nice smile she has, how truly
Islamic she is but is just
brainwashed by American
culture and her husband-Bobby
Brown, whom Osama talked
about having killed, as if it were
normal to have women's
husbands killed.
"In his briefcase I would come
across photographs of the star,
as well as copies of Playboy, but
nobody in the West believes me
when I tell them this. It's like
they have this totally bogus
image of Osama bin Laden.
"Anyway, it would soon come
to the point where I was sick of
hearing Whitney Houston's
name," she wrote.
Her story first surfaced in 2002
when the Guardian newspaper
published an article claiming she
had had a forced sexual
relationship with bin Laden.
Later in a two-part interview
with MSNBC she was billed as
the "Former Mistress of Osama
Bin Laden".
While some claimed she had
made up the story and that it
was impossible because of her
afro-American heritage, Boof
has stood by her account and
points out that yet two of bin
Laden's twenty-five children are
black and his Syrian
grandmother also could be
considered a Black woman.

BUHARI CAN'T PAY ABUJA N20 MILLION RENT, EVICTED BY LANDLORD
Former Head of State and one time minister of oil resources, General Muhammadu Buhari, (rtd) has been ejected from his Abuja residence following his inability to pay the N20 million rent demanded by his landlord, Newsdiary Online, a news portal has disclosed.
According to reports monitored by our reporter in Abuja, the retired general who is also the presidential candidate of Congress for Progressive Change, CPC in the April 2011 general elections, was expected to renew his rent which was due after the initial payment.
Consequently, he decided to move his property to Kaduna when he could not raise the amount demanded by the landlord.
It was gathered that owing to inability of Buhari to raise the N20 million earlier requested as rent for the building at Number 11 Queen Elizabeth Street, Asokoro District, Abuja, the landlord reportedly reduced the rent to
N15 million but Buhari could still not raise the funds.
Reports say the original rent was paid on his behalf by a former minister of defence, General Theophilus Danjuma, (rtd) which enabled Buhari to move into the house which provides shelter to him any time he is in the Federal Capital Territory.
Buhari was said to rebuff suggestions by his friends to approach Nasarawa State governor, Alhaji Umaru Almakura who won the governorship seat on the platform of his party, CPC, for financial assistance insisting that he would rather maintain his integrity than ask the governor for money.
It was also gathered that Buhari also resisted a similar pressure to approach President Goodluck Jonathan for assistance to enable him keep the apartment.
“Some of Buhari’s associates who wanted to avoid his ejection actually reached out to the owner of the property, and the landlord even agreed to slash the rent to N15 million for the sake of the General. Sadly, he could not pay and he accepted the option of moving his property to Kaduna. Buhari is believed to have made up his mind to put up somewhere he can afford whenever he has something to do in Abuja henceforth”, the News portal stated.

HOW BOKO HARAM CHIEF ALLOCATES WIDOWS OF SUICIDE BOMBERS
Abubakar Shekau, the spiritual leader of Boko Haram considers it his duty to allocate the widows of his suicide bombers to his loyal friends and of course to himself.
“The leadership also gives out wives of those killed the way he wants and marry some in the name of giving them protection.”
This is a quote taken directly from an article in Vanguard of 14 Feb titled "How N41m tore Boko Haram Apart". So whereas the souls of the suicide bombers roam the great beyond in search of virgins, Abubakar Shekau is busy "helping and protecting"their widows.I laugh at the foolishness of the suicide bombers and cringe at the hypocrisy of the leadership of Boko Haram.

26 year-old man on trial for stealing church offerings
Babatunde Ige, 26, is in police custody for allegedly stealing money from a church. The suspect was arraigned on Tuesday before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on a one-count charge of stealing N14,610 from the offering box of Church of Assumption, Falomo, in Ikoyi.
According to the charge sheet, the suspect was alleged to have been nabbed video evidence from a CCTV camera monitored by a guard in the church.
Police statements claimed Ige confessed to stealing the money from the church’s offering box. “This is my second time of stealing money from the church’s offering box,” he allegedly wrote in the statement. “The first was last year when I stole N5,000 successfully and I steal only N1,000 denominations with a curved tiny iron and scissors.
I would remain inside the church after closing hours pretending to be praying, and after I notice that the place is empty, I would move closer to where the church offerings boxes are kept and remove the highest denominations. I started to worship in the church last year to steal and not to worship God after I realised that the high and mighty go there to worship and donate generously.”
However, in court, Ige pleaded not guilty. The presiding magistrate W. B. Balogun, admitted him to bail in the sum of N23,000 with one surety who must show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State government.
The accused has been remanded in Ikoyi Prison when nobody came to bail him before the court closed for the day.

B*R*E*A*K*I*N*G N*E*W*S: SSS re-arrest Kabiru Sokoto
LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) - Nigerian police arrested an escaped convict suspected of masterminding a Christmas Day church bombing that killed at least 44 people in an attack claimed by a radical Islamist sect, an official said Friday.
Kabiru Sokoto's escape just a day after his arrest led to national embarrassment and to the firing of the country's top police official.
Presidential spokesman Reuben Abati told The Associated Press on Friday that members of the nation's secret police arrested Sokoto in Taraba state, which borders Cameroon. Abati said he had no other details about the arrest, and referred questions to the State Security Service.
A spokeswoman for the secret police agency declined to immediately comment. However, another security official who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to speak to journalists, said officers arrested Sokoto as he hid behind a clothesline at a home in the state.
Sokoto will be flown back to Abuja, Nigeria's capital, on an air force flight, the official said.
Police named Sokoto, an alleged member of the radical sect known as Boko Haram, as the prime suspect for the Dec. 25 bombing of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Madalla, a city just outside of Abuja.
However, Sokoto escaped from police custody a day after his arrest, an embarrassment for Nigeria's ill-equipped federal police. President Goodluck Jonathan later fired the nation's top police official a few months before his mandated retirement.
The bombing struck just after 8 a.m. as worshippers began to leave the sanctuary after a morning service. A car bomb detonated near the church's front steps, cutting down those leaving.

Boko Haram accept Dialogue - names 4 negotiators
The extremist Islamic sect, Boko Haram may be considering the invitation to dialogue with the federal government as it named some Northern leaders to negotiate with the government on its behalf.
Although, the veracity of the video is being investigated by security agents, as it came on a day that multiple blasts rocked Kaduna with the armed forces as target.
Those named in the video on the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, are : Sheik Abubakar Gero, Dr. Shettima Ali Monguno, Alh Ali Bukar Ibrahim, the former governor of Yobe State.
The fourth name listed was not clear in the video to be identified.
However, Vanguard findings revealed that Boko Haram leaders have disowned the list of negotiators and that the said video did not originate from its organisation.
The tape which NTA claimed was delivered by an unidentified source featured two figures, fully masked in black. Only the voice of one was heard, while the other was silent.
“We here confirmed and accept the reported initiative of the President for a dialogue as a welcome development”, the speaker who did not identify himself said.
According to him, the group trusts the named leaders and said “the decision taken by these people can actually change the whole situation”.

Niger police arrest 3 suspects over sale of 2-week-old baby
An 18-year old girl, Miss Blessing John, was on Friday, arrested by the Police in Minna, Niger state capital, for selling her two weeks old baby girl to a 50-year-old woman, Mrs. Chikodili Jude for the sum of N20,000 to feed and clothe herself.
The sale of the baby to the second suspect, who is also a widow, took place on Friday January 20, few hours after the former was delivered of the baby at the General Hospital, Minna by medical personnel.
Sunday Tribune learnt that no sooner than Blessing, who claimed to be an indigene of Kwale area of Delta state, was delivered of the yet unnamed baby girl, that she allegedly expressed the desire to do away with the child in view if the fact that she could no longer locate one Emmanuel Sunday of Mechanic bye-pass, Minna who impregnated her, after he ran away in an attempt not to claim the baby.
“Sunday and I met when I was working at Kwetere Gwari mechanic village as an attendant in a restaurant. He approached me to be his girlfriend and I accepted his proposal.
He later impregnated me after making love to me. When I told him that I was pregnant for him, he picked a quarrel with me over the pregnancy and thereafter, I did not see him again until I put to bed at the General Hospital, Minna on January 18 this year,” Blessing said in an interview with Sunday Tribune.
She added: “I gave out my baby to Mrs. Chikodili James to hold her for me and she in return gave me N20,000 for feeding and clothing because I did not have any money at hand to feed and take care of myself. I told her that whenever I am able to put the amount she gave me together, I would pay her back and take my baby to my state, and she agreed.”
When she was asked whether there was any written agreement between them to that effect, she answered in the affirmative, stating that the second suspect immediately brought out a document for her so that they could both append their signatures on the memorandum of agreement.
Blessing, who informed Sunday Tribune that she had been living in Minna since 2009, noted that the second suspect allegedly brought one paper for her to sign.
“I read the paper and I understood everything that was written there. I signed and said that if I had the money she gave me, I would pay her and collect my baby from her later.
“I did not finish my secondary school education as I stopped at Senior Secondary School III when I was supposed to sit for my SSCE Ordinary Level and that of the National Examinations Council but the school authorities said I had to pay some money as examinations fees which I did not have,” she stated.
It was further gathered that the sale of the baby was allegedly facilitated by one Mrs. Martha Obialor, a 65- year-old woman resident at 1010 area of Kwetere Gwari community of the state capital, who was also being detained by the police in connection with the case, while the memorandum of agreement was drafted at the law firm of “Freedom Chambers” at SW 264, Yoruba road, Minna metropolitan area by one Mike Ekemezie Esq.
The memorandum of agreement, a copy of which is in the possession of the Sunday Tribune, read thus: “This agreement is made this 20th day of January between Blessing John of Suleja, Niger state of Nigeria (hereinafter referred to as DISCLAIMER, which expression shall, where the context so admits, include her heirs and successor-in title) on the first hand and Mrs. Chikodili Jude of Minna, Niger state of Nigeria, (hereinafter referred to as CLAIMANT which expression shall where the context so admits include her heirs and successor-in – title) on the second hand.”
Accordingly, the legal practitioner stated among other issues that the disclaimer had a female child at the General Hospital, Minna and decided to do away with the child and that the claimant agreed to take the child and also give the disclaimer a token of N20,000 to enable her (Blessing) to travel back to her station, adding that both parties now desire that their oral agreement be put in writing to be legally binding and enforceable to avoid any controversy in future.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State, Mr. Richard A. Oguche, confirmed the incident, stating that the first suspect, Miss Blessing John transferred the ownership of the two-week-old baby girl to the second suspect, Mrs. Chikodili Jude, in return for N20,000.

A nigerian nabbed trafficking hard drugs worth N5 million in tomato cans
A 26-year-old man, Nzeka Christian, thought he could be smarter than the anti-narcotic agents, working at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
He also believed he could deceive God and his pastor, when he decided to sleep in the church some days before embarking on travel. He even begged the man of God to pray for his successful business trip to Malaysia.
The pastor, who was not aware of the nature of the business he was involved in actually prayed for him, but all the efforts came to naught, when some eagle-eyed operatives at the airport burst the bubble. The suspect was alleged to have industrially packed hard drug worth N5 million in two big tins of tomato paste, to be trafficked to Malaysia but he was fished out during the outward screening of an Egypt Air flight.

Muslim leaders wants security for Boko-haram leaders
The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has called on the Federal Government to guarantee the security of Boko Haram leaders if dialogue is to hold.
ACF Chairman Aliko M. Mohammed stated this yesterday while speaking to newsmen at the forums’ Conference Hall in Kaduna.
He urged the federal and state governments to demonstrate fairness in dealing with issues of insecurity and infringement of the laws.
“We enjoin leaders and members of Boko Haram to realize that no religious doctrine permits the killing of innocent lives. It is important to point out to them that they are inflicting terror, death and destruction upon people that are not in any way responsible for whatever injustice they believe have been done to them,” the forum said.
ACF also expressed concern over allegations peddled by certain people that some people from other sections of the country were conspiring to cause insecurity across the country with the intention of making it ungovernable.

Mourners Boo, Chase Away Emir Of suleja @ funeral mass for victims of bomb blast
There was tension at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Madalla, Niger State on Wednesday during the funeral mass held for victims of the Christmas Day bomb explosion as the congregation prevented the Emir of Suleija, Alhaji Awal Ibrahim, from entering the church.
The Emir, who was said to have arrived the church at about 11.00am, was booed by the congregation with shouts of “No, no. We don’t want him here.”
Despite the intervention of some priests, the monarch was not allowed into the church to make any speech.
He was later driven off amidst tight security.
But reacting to the development, the Niger State chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. Musa Dada, said the Emir should have been forgiven.
He said, “When the bomb incident happened I was told that the Emir neither came nor sent anybody to the church about three days after until when the government queried him to explain why he refused to visit the church and sympathise with the victims.

Man Call Police To Complain about Prostitute's Bad Service rendered to him..
Jerry Eugene Streng- Jailed After Calling Police To Complain About Prostitute's Bad Service
Berlin, Pennsylvania - Jerry Eugene Streng, a 63-year-old Berlin man was jailed after he allegedly called 911 to complain after two hookers charged him for sex, but failed to include him in the act.
According to Pennsylvania state police, Streng hired two Berlin area hookers, Jacqueline Eubanks, 50, and Tonia Good, 34, for $400 under the agreement that he would be in the middle of the women as they all engaged in sexual activities at his residence.
The women got undressed, and began smoking Streng's marijuana, but when it came to sex, they seemed to be more interested in pleasing each other rather than Streng.
Investigators say Streng took off his clothes and got into bed with the women. However, instead of being in the middle of the women, he was relegated to a corner of the bed as the two women had sex with one another.
When the women were finished, they reportedly took Streng's money without giving him the 'full service' he had paid for.
Streng called 911 to report what he referred to as a robbery. When officers arrived on the scene, they arrested Streng. Eubanks and Good were also apprehended.
A few hours later, Steng called 911 a second time when one of the prostitutes returned to his home to use the restroom. She and Streng were taken into custody.
Streng was booked into jail and charged with patronization of prostitution. Eubanks and Good were also booked into jail on prostitution charges.

Christmas Day Bomb Blast Victims Laid To Rest
Some 2,000 mourners crowded a Nigerian church still marked by blood stains Wednesday for a funeral service for victims of a Christmas day attack claimed by Islamists that killed dozens.
Ten coffins were on display inside St. Theresa Catholic Church in Madalla outside the capital Abuja during the service, which saw cries of anger as well as prayers for those who committed the "diabolic" bombing.
In a sign of sectarian tensions that the Christmas bombing and other attacks have sparked, mourners at the church reacted with a chorus of "no, no, no" following a suggestion that a local Muslim leader be allowed to speak.
Islamist group Boko Haram claimed responsibility for a wave of Christmas Day attacks, the deadliest of them at St. Theresa, where at least 44 people died.
