Obama signs bill to grant Nigerian student U.S. permanent residency

Victor second from left, his doctor to his right, doctor's wife and the nun that's been taking care of him
President Barack Obama just awarded a young Nigerian man with a very terrible genetic disease - Neurofibromatosis, permanent residence in the US and as such access to a US medical school. This hardly ever passes congress but because of his peculiar situation, it worked.

26th year old Victor Chukwueke came to the US eleven years ago to undergo treatment for massive face tumors and lived in Michigan on an expired visa. He graduated from a state university and wanted to attend a medical school but needed to have permanent residency for that to happen.
Private bills, which only applies to one person and mostly focus on immigration, are rarely approved. Victors is the only one to pass in US Congress in two years.
Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that causes massive life-threatening tumors to the face.

Can you spot the difference?

There are actually five differences here, can you spot them? This is just for fun...so enjoy..:-). That's Stephanie Okereke Linus by the way.

Inside the secret Abacha memo approving execution of Ken Saro - Wiwa, others

Spotted this at Premium Times
In November 1995, while an overwhelming international outcry mounted against the execution of the Ogoni leader, Ken Saro-Wiwa and his colleagues, defiant military dictator, Sani Abacha, backed by a small band of military officers, convinced themselves that executing them, swiftly, was the best way to resolve the Ogoni unrest “once and for all”, and to make it clear to Nigerians and the world the authoritarian regime was no weakling.
A recording of the final meeting, where the decision to hang Mr. Saro-Wiwa and eight of his associates was taken, said, two days before the execution, Mr. Abacha told members of the Provisional Ruling Council, PRC, the regime’s highest decision making body, that the activists deserved no sympathy, and that hanging them would stem further discontent and prove to the world the regime was bold and courageous.
“He was of the view that no sympathy should be shown on the convicts so that the sentence will be a lesson to everybody. He stated that the Ogoni issue had lingered on for a very long time and should be addressed once and for all,” Mr. Abacha was quoted in the document now available exclusively to PREMIUM TIMES.

We obtained the memo from highly placed sources familiar with the proceedings and who requested not to be named so the Nigerian government does not hound them. We took further measures to ensure the documents are authentic including checking with other sources knowledgeable about the matter.

The former head of state said Mr. Saro-Wiwa was a foreign agent used to destabilize Nigeria, and a “separatist” who cloaked himself as an environmental activist, but whose true intention was to split the country and subvert its authority.

Members of the PRC at the time were Mr. Abacha; Maj. General Patrick Aziza (Minister of Communications under Abacha); Major Gen. Tajudeen Olarenwaju (GOC); General Abdulsalami Abubakar (Chief of Defence Staff); Lt. General Oladipo Diya (Chief of General Staff); Maj. Gen. Victor Malu (GOC); Ibrahim Coomasie (Inspector General of Police); Mike Akhigbe (Chief of Naval Staff); Maj. General Ishaya Bamaiyi (Chief of Army Staff);  Nsikak Eduok (Chief of Air Staff); Lt. Gen. Jeremiah Useni (Minister of the Federal Capital Territory) and Michael Agbamuche (Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice).

Mr. Saro-Wiwa, a respected writer, activist and environmental campaigner, had been sentenced to death by a military tribunal set up by the regime. He was accused of masterminding the killings of four prominent Ogoni leaders – charges he forcefully denied.

The charges were widely viewed as framed to silence Mr. Saro-Wiwa’s campaign against the exploitation and degradation of the Ogoni land by international oil majors, especially Shell.
But while a global campaign to block the implementation of the tribunal’s verdict intensified, the regime, on November 10, 1995, two days after its meeting, staged a fast-tracked execution of the ruling, with a gruesome hanging of the nine leaders.

Others killed were Saturday Dobee, Nordu Eawo, Daniel Gbooko, Paul Levera, Felix NuateBaribor BeraBarinem Kiobel, and John Kpuine.

The condemnations
The killings sparked international outrage. While the European Union and the United States placed economic embargo and other restrictions on the country, the Commonwealth promptly  suspended the country from its fold.

Shell, at the centre of the unrest, was accused of complicity in the killings, with allegations it sponsored the military junta’s onslaught on Ogoniland.

The company denied the allegations despite testimonies stating otherwise, and a $15.5 million out-of-court settlement it agreed in favour of the families of the victims in 2009. Shell said the payment was not a concession of guilt, but a gesture of peace.

The minutes of the military council meeting preceding the executions, a four-page memo, kept secret for years, document the behind-the-scenes moves, at the highest echelons of the Abacha regime’s decision-making organ, as it hurried through with the executions.

The details shed light on how the junta, accused of rights violations and fierce brutality, considered an unprecedented domestic and international calls to suspend the killings.

Besides deciding to forge ahead with the execution, the document states, the PRC offered frantic justification for the killings, planned broad state-sponsored propaganda against the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People, MOSOP; considered the proscription of MOSOP; and how to further divide the group’s ranks, and “neutralize” its members.

Mr. Abacha chaired the meeting on November 8, 1995, and led junta officials through a deliberation that sought a speedy implementation of the death verdicts-which was implemented less than 48 hours after the meeting.

Ignoring pressure
While a global campaign pushed for the rulings of the Kangaroo tribunal to be shelved, the minute shows, the 11-member PRC, comprising service chiefs, top military commanders, the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General of the Federation, never considered backing down.
Instead, junta officials warned that a reversal would portray weakness. They accused the international community of double standards; choosing, for economic reasons, to look the other way when similar state decisions were taken elsewhere.

“The council was advised not to yield to pressure from the West, championed by the United States of America. The council was reminded that the Arab countries visited crimes with measurable punishment for which the West saw nothing wrong because of their economic interest,” the minutes said.
“It was therefore advocated that minimum time be wasted between the council decision its implementation,” it adds.
The junta described Mr. Saro-Wiwa‘s alleged crime as “heinous” and accused the media of attempting to whip up sympathy for him and the other accused.
“It was cautioned that if members soft-pedaled, the administration would be regarded as a weakling,” the document states.

The ‘Ungrateful’ Ogoni’s
With the backing of the council members, Mr. Abacha then declared that “anyone who killed his fellow citizen did not deserve to live”.
Mr. Abacha believed the Ogonis were asking for too much, and were ungrateful for “sizeable federal investment” located in the area- possibly a reference to Onne port and Eleme petrochemicals, both near Port Harcourt.

Despite the extensive considerations, barely did the meeting brook counter-opinion not in line with Mr. Abacha’s.

A suggestion by an unnamed member that in future such trials should be conducted by civil courts not to unnecessarily rile the international community was promptly overruled by Mr. Abacha who spoke of his preference for military tribunal for its speed.
“On whether the military tribunals should be replaced with civil courts, he expressed preference for military tribunals which he said considered and decided cases with dispatch,” the minutes said of Mr. Abacha.

The tribunal that convicted Mr. Saro-Wiwa turned out amongst the most controversial. Headed by Justice Ibrahim Auta, the current Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, the panel delivered a speedy, but severely criticized verdict on October 31, 1995, barely nine months after it was convened.
The panel faced severe criticism for alleged high-handedness, prompting defense lawyers, led by late Gani Fawehinmi, Femi Falana and Olisa Agbakoba, to stand down after accusing the Auta-led tribunal of violating all known judicial ethics and rules.
Mr. Auta, then a mid-career judge, turned down two key requests from the defence team, namely, two weeks of access to Mr. Saro-Wiwa and the rest, (having been denied access to their counsels); and an order transferring the accused from a military cell in Port Harcourt to a civil prison.

Mr. Saro-Wiwa and his colleagues were condemned to death without legal representations.

In years, Mr. Auta has risen to become a Chief Judge while the lead prosecutor, Joseph Daudu, is the immediate past chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Praising Justice Auta, others
As the military brass met that November 8, 1995, the severely-castigated tribunal came up for a decent dose of praise for its “painstaking consideration” of the facts.

Mr. Saro-Wiwa’s campaign dated decades, but peaked in the 1990s as he struggled to draw national and international attention to the deprivations the Ogonis faced while Shell and American firm, Chevron, degraded their land and carted away billions of petrodollars.

Arrested and released repeatedly, the crisis took a fatal twist after four Ogoni leaders – accused of selling out to the government and Shell- were mobbed to death by some youth.

Mr. Saro-Wiwa denied the youth carried out his order; a claim countered by the military government, which, before then, had endured devastating restiveness the activist led to cripple oil production.

In turn, the military was accused of staging the killings as a way of eliminating the activists.

As the Abacha government faced the Saro-Wiwa episode in 1995, it had its hands full with a coup’detat case in which former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, and others were indicted.

Amid international condemnation against the coup indictments, an allegation also viewed as staged to hound opponents, the regime backed down from its initial plan to execute the alleged coup plotters. But it later regretted that compassion, feeling it acted feebly.

The Saro-Wiwa case presented an opportunity to right that wrong and proved a strong point, the document said.

“Council was reminded that the government’s decision on the plotters had sent wrong signals to the generality of Nigerians and that the current case should be used to correct that wrong impression,” the minute said.

That concern turned up repeatedly in the meeting, according to the recordings, with some members appearing to compare the relatively mild response to the alleged plotters to the draconian reaction that trailed the Ogoni’s case.

Mr. Abacha laid that concern to rest as the meeting wound up, declaring that while the Ogonis’ case was a “premeditated murder”, the alleged coup plotters had yet to carry out their plot.

The Ogoni’s have a case
In a brief humane consideration, the council conceded that the trouble in Ogoniland was a result of years of neglect, failure and pent-up anger.

But members also swiftly argued that agitators like Mr. Saro-Wiwa were mischief makers who cashed in on a genuine grievance to seek selfish motives.

“It was therefore not surprising that a few mischievous individuals could exploit the situation for their selfish ends,” minute said.  “Council was therefore urged to approve the judgment of the tribunal and ensure its expeditious implementation.”

Obafemi and Abigail in a private jet
Obafemi Martins is dating Mario Balotelli's elder sister, Abigail Barwuash and Mario is said not to be particularly happy about their relationship. But in a recent interview with Goal.com, Obafemi dismissed insinuations that Mario was not happy that he's dating Abigail
“Mario is my boy. The respect is there because I used to play at Inter, in the youth team with him. He’s giving me my respect and I’m doing same. People are putting it in the news that he’s upset, of course he’s glad.
“He’s glad that Obafemi Martins is dating his sister. But if he gets jealous then it means he doesn’t want his sister to grow. But it’s not like that. The boy is not a bad boy.
He also said he and Abigail haven't discussed marriage yet.
“The relationship is true but getting married or not, we haven’t discussed anything like that. She’s upstairs and we’re happy together.
Abigail, 24, told the The Sun in an interview in April that she couldn’t date a footballer: “Mario wouldn’t let me anyway. He knows only too well what they are like. They are surrounded by women. Girls throw themselves at them.”

'We watched our kids roast to death like goats' - couple who lost five children in fire

Despite the fact that some weeks have passed since the fire disaster that wiped out five children of Mr. & Mrs. Augustine Ikwuagwu on Comfort Oboh Street, Kirikiri Town, Lagos, its bitter memory still lingers. Indeed, the tragedy has been a nightmare to the couple. When Saturday Sun met with the couple recently, pain and agony have overwhelmed them, as they recounted their loss.

Speaking amid tears, Mrs Margaret Ikwuagwu, said her fine kids, Chukwuemeka (13), Ifeanyichukwu (10), Bright (8), Joy (6) and Victoria (4) were sleeping in the house when the incident started at 10pm. She said that all efforts to rescue the children failed. “I asked my children to go and sleep in the room while I was preparing to close shop for the day.

Then, shortly, someone ran to tell me that our house was on fire. I abandoned everything I was doing and ran down to the house. When I got there, the fire had already covered the whole place and I could not enter my room to rescue my children,” she said. Mrs Ikwuagwu explained that she cried for help, but no one came to her aid. “When I got there, I met a mammoth. My co-tenants were busy removing their children and property.

They started the rescue as soon as the fire broke out, but never bothered to inform me that our house was on fire. I tried to rescue our children, but I could not because the fire had covered our room. I heard the voices of my children shouting. But could not save the situation. I cried for help, but no one assisted me. “I forced myself inside the room when I heard my children crying for help, with the hope that I would bring out at least one or two, but I ended up being burnt by fire; so I ran out.” The woman revealed that as she was shouting, her husband arrived at the scene.

“When my husband arrived, we joined hands to rescue our children. He pushed the door, but the fire was too much; he tried to force himself through the window; yet he did not succeed. We called our children, but they did not answer us. When we tried and saw that there was no hope again, we fainted, having watched our five children, cash and other property ruined by fire. We were rushed to the hospital immediately and did not know what happened later,” she stated.

Mrs. Ikwuagwu stated that it was after some hours that she and her husband recovered from the shock. “When we recovered, we were asked to come to Kirikiri Police Station to make statement. Thereafter, we were asked to come and take our children for burial. So, we went to bury them at Trinity Cemetery, Olodi Apapa.” She revealed that before the fire disaster, her family had planned to travel home on December 22 for Christmas. “I do not know why this thing happened to us.

Why should our five children go like that? We were preparing to travel home on December 22 for Christmas. Now here we are. Where do we start and how far do I go from here? I know that it was not an ordinary fire. But, however, God will take control of the whole thing,” she lamented. Narrating what happened, Mr. Augustine Ikwuagwu, popularly known as Osuofia, said that when he arrived he tried his best to rescue the children, regretting that the fire had already taken over the entire compound.

He said: “On December 12, I went to my wife’s shop and saw my children sleeping and I asked my wife to take them home, which she did. We did not lock the children inside the house, as people are saying, rather. Our 12-year-old son, Chukwuemeka, took them home, and when the fire started, no one cared to call us and as a result, our children got burnt to death. We have three male and two female children and they died same day.

As it is, I have no house, no property and no child. People are saying that we locked the children inside the room and lighted a candle, but I am telling you that we did not lock them inside and we did not use candle at all; what we use was rechargeable lamp.” He also stated that the cause of the fire is yet to be known. “We are still surprised about how the fire started and up till this moment, we have not been able to know the cause of the fire. But God has the answer,” he stated. Mr. Ikwuagwu said the fact that they watched their five children suffer and died in the fire was the worst thing that has happened to him and his wife.

“I wanted to kill myself because I do not know where I am going from here. I do not think, I can cope because my entire life struggles are gone. After five children, we have decided not to bear children again. But now, we are starting again,” he lamented. He stated that since the incident, life has not been easy for his family, revealing that he and his wife are still receiving treatment in the hospital. “It has not been easy for us since then.

We have no child, shelter, clothes, money and property. Also, we have not recovered from the shock. So, anyone who knows what it takes to lose five children and everything should please assist us to come back to life. My wife’s spirit has gone down; she has been thinking of how to get another child,” Ikwuagwu lamented.

Man Breaks Manhood While Having S*X [PHOTO]

According to TMZ, MMA fighter Ray Elbe who competed on “Ultimate Fighter 9″ had to be rushed to a hospital in Malaysia earlier this month after he broke his man-hood during sex; a condition that required 10 stitches to fix.
According to the fighter, he was having fun with his girlfriend who was “on top” when she bounced a little too high, and crunched his erect manhood.
According to Ray, his penis “fractured” … and “blood was everywhere” and immediately passed out from the pain. It was at a nearby hospital that he underwent surgery to close the wound and repair a “slight tear” in his urinary tube.
Ray is expected to make full recovery — and was ordered to take “anti-erection pills” for two weeks.

10 Christmas Sex Positions you might like ;)

Christmas is upon us, and hopefully you’ll be upon your partner in this time of giving.  Whether you’re with somebody new or you’ve unwrapped that box a hundred times before the holidays, this Christmas sex positions are sure to become instant holiday favorites. I've made a list, and you’re welcome to check it twice. Whether you two are naughty, nice or a couple of depraved pervs, there’s a goodie in this sack for everyone.

Number 10
Jingle Balls
This move centers around some classic teabaging, either before, during or after intercourse. So whenever you decide to do it,  walk to the kitchen and frost your schwetty balls with leftover green and red frosting from the Christmas cookies to appeal to her sweet tooth and ensure extra-intense tongue action. Bonus points if you swirl some red frosting around your penis for a candy cane bonus.

Number 9
Santa’s Little Helpers
Men, quit worrying about being “big” enough and start to think small; try imitating elves and have sex on your knees. A little pocket rocket vibrator can provide the elfin magic. Your usual smooth bass bedroom voice will ruin the whole thing, so keep helium close by to take hits and talk dirty in a higher octave. It’s going to be a busy night on your part, but at least she can pretend she was with another guy while you maintain a size advantage in reality. If this position unleashes a previously unknown elf fetish, you’re jolly well screwed.

Number 8
Silent Night
Not only is Christmas a great time for sex, it is also a time when family can be a little too close at all the wrong times. So this year, make the most of it by engaging in some exciting secret sex with your partner at a very unsuspecting time: Christmas dinner. The goal is for you and your partner to separately excuse yourselves in the middle of dinner, without arousing suspicion, then make your way up to an available bedroom for a quickie.

Number 7
The Stocking Stuffer
This Christmas sex position combines stockings and sex in close quarters. She’ll be in crotchless or strategically ripped stockings, and you’ll both zip into a sleeping bag together. From there, engage in any and all positions allowable by your physiques and your encased bedding. Closeness and friction will be the two factors you experience. After a while, you may get a whiff of hot nylon and/or singed hair. The decision to proceed will be yours; just remember the phrase “you would even say it glows” can apply to more than Rudolph’s nose. Mutual ointment application is a popular form of after-play for this one.

Number 6
Snow Angel
So far, our Christmas sex positions have probably found you indoors, out of the cold.  Even with the all the rockin’ she’s been doing around your Christmas tree, cabin fever might be setting in. Good news: You can get fresh air and still get some when you go outside to make snow angels. Way better than a snowman with a frosty schlong grafted on, these snow angels decorate the lawn beautifully and make for great stories to share. You’ll have distinct his-and-her patterns, too. When you’re on top in the missionary position, you’ll be in charge of swinging out your legs, making for a taller angel. When she’s on top, her knee impressions will make for a more bootylicious angel.

Number 5
Down the Chimney with Care
With all the Christmas songs and stories involving chimneys, no Christmas sex position portfolio would be complete without one involving your partner’s ash pipe.  Firstly, you’ll need to sport a St. Nick’s outfit ,and then, with her lying on her neck facing you, you give her an anal pile driver. Besides all the other sensations going on, the blood will be rushing to her head -- it’s not unheard of for the drivee to pass out.

Number 4
Milk & Cookies
Santa Claus must get royally pissed off by the end of his run. Billions of houses, and he only gets milk and cookies for his trouble -- some treat. All that lactose and gluten probably has him spray-painting the porcelain well into the new year. For you and your partner, a dose of these "Milk & Cookies" can be a sweet, little snack. It’s so simple, yet delicious: Just lap away at her breasts for milk while you engage her sugar cookie with your hands.

Number 3
Secret Santa
This one involves a Santa mask and suit, and a blindfold. Set up the encounter as your usual mystery seduction by tying up and blindfolding your girl. Then, dress up in your Santa get up and get down to business. Once everything is done, take off her blindfold and let her see who her secret Santa really is.

Number 2
Trim the Tree
Part of the Christmas tradition is a small degree of deforestation, as pines and firs are cut and cleared. What better time to cut and clear the fur forest of you and your partner? If you trust each other -- really, really trust each other -- try doing the job for each other. If there was ever a time to remind her how sensitive that skin is, this is it -- your life is in her hands. When you’re both free of debris, you’ll find oral fixations renewed and enhanced -- without the obligatory throat clearing and teeth-picking afterward.

Number 1
Chest & Nuts Roasting on an Open Fire
Fireplaces are always portrayed as romantic, but don’t just settle for a cuddle and staring at the flames -- there’s your own yule log to attend to.  While she’s on the floor on her back close to the fire, have her press her breasts together while you thrust your penis between them. Just establish a safe word to clarify between orgasms and flying cinders. For bonus points, try to douse the fire when you climax.  Again, be reminded that cinders are unpredictable and unforgiving.

I Am Ready To Act Nude For A Good Script – Nollywood Actress

Ejinne OkoroaforYoung actress, Ejinne Okoroafor is obviously carried away by the fact that men can’t take their eyes off her body. Little did she know that most of such men don’t really mean well for her.
Below is what the actress told a reporter about men and her desire to act nude:
Me and men: Men can’t keep their eyes off me. In fact, I get a lot of compliments from them all the time, so it’s not a new thing. Sometimes some stare so much at me that I can’t help but thank God for blessing me.
Sexual Harassment: I believe that there is sexual harassment everywhere even in offices but it’s up to the person in question to either accept or turn them down. For me, I am not desperate.
Acting Nude: Yes I can act nude if it’s in a foreign movie with a very good story line. But I can’t act in a porn movie, especially in any Nollywood movie because it’s against our culture as Africans.

PSY's Gangnam Style music video hits 1billion views on Youtube

South Korean pop sensation, PSY, has done something no other artist has ever done before. Yesterday Friday December 21, 2012,  PSY's music video for Gangnam Style exceeded 1 billion views on YouTube, becoming the first video to ever do so in YouTube's history.

Google reports that Gangnam Style sees about 7 million views a day... no small feat from a man who was a complete unknown Stateside just a few months ago.
"Honestly, when I made this video I didn't even expect 1 million views, because this is off my sixth album in Korea, so I just hoped it would be huge there," PSY recently told MTV News. "I didn't even think about any other countries; I just did my job and waited and watched. And, you know, today, I'm still wondering and analyzing its success. Because I've done this thing many times, this dance, this album, this video ... this one just became something else entirely."

‘Principal, two nurses conducted virginity test on us’

Fifteen-year-old Janet (not real name), one of the victims of the virginity test allegedly conducted on pupils of Ajuwon Senior High School, Ajuwon, Ifo Local Government Area, Ogun State, spoke with Punch correspondent, Temitayo Famutimi.  Excerpt below...
What happened in your school on December 10, 2012?
Rev. Olufunke Oladeojobi, our school principal (pictured inset), came to some Senior Secondary School One classes and announced that she would be conducting virginity test on us. She marched us with the assistance of some members of staff into her office and thereafter conducted the test on us.
What do you think prompted her to conduct the test?
Our principal is a disciplinarian and she always lament on the assembly ground that she used to receive reports that we (female pupils) were in the habit of sleeping around with our classmates and technicians.
Did she force the test on you?
Yes, it was like a form of compulsion because she went after some of us who ran away after claiming to be virgins and compelled them to take the test. At least I know two of them like that. The first person who did the test was in that category. She didn’t do it willingly.
How many of you did the test?
Ten of us but initially, she said she was going to conduct the test on all the pupils who claimed to be virgins but she stopped after she discovered a pupil who had lost her virginity from the first group comprising 10 pupils.
Where did the test take place and how many people conducted it?
The test was carried out in the principal’s office. A bed was placed on the floor of the office and our principal and two other nurses were there with two other members of staff. One of the nurses works in our school’s sick bay while the other nurse was invited.
Who conducted the test on you?
It was the resident nurse in our school that conducted the test on me. Our principal was at the door entrance and she (the principal) ushered me in when it got to my turn.
 How was the test conducted?
The resident nurse removed the glove she used for the person before me and wore another one. She positioned me on the bed, removed my pants, spread my legs and observed my private parts with her eyes. She then dipped two fingers into my private parts. The principal was beside her that time and the nurse told her (principal) that I was a virgin.
What was your principal’s reaction when the nurse said you are a virgin?
The principal said I should not mess around with boys and she gave me an Ogun State Government customised exercise book.
Did you lose blood after the test?
I did not lose blood but I heard that some people lost blood. I left the vicinity of the principal’s office after the test was conducted on me.
Did she conduct the test on those who were menstruating?
No she didn’t. They asked them to go whenever they noticed it and gave them exercise books.
How did you feel after the test?
I didn’t understand the gravity of the incident until our senior colleagues in school started threatening to cause mayhem after the test. I told my mum when I got home.
What did the principal do to the person who was discovered to have lost her virginity?
When I came back for my bag, I saw the girl who was said to have lost her virginity kneeling down in her office and I saw the principal talking tough. She wrote down her name on the black board in her office and announced verbally that she had been suspended.
The principal has since been suspended. I think she should be arrested. She's scarred some of these young girls for life!

Chris Brown and Rihanna not done yet?

These two will soon give me a migraine. Are they or are they not? Yes, it's my business to mind their business...lol. So are Rihanna and Chris Brown hinting they are not done yet? Just two days after posting on her Instagram page that she was single, Rihanna is singing a different tune.

Yesterday Chris Brown Tweeted, then quickly deleted, a picture of himself and Rihanna (pictured above on the left) with the caption - Always started with Breezy like the Letter B and last night Rihanna did the same thing, only she didn't delete her picture. She posted a photo of their hands entwined with the caption - throw back to last Thursday. Ha! I need paracetamol! :-)

Story written by Stella Dimoko Korkus for Encomium Magazine
It was with tension and on edge that those who witnessed this exchange of slaps whisper this gist. According to them, 'coloured trousers had been banned within the camp and the camp commandant spotted Pastor Tunde Bakare's son, Segun Bakare in black trousers. When apprehended, the lad asked the commandant if he didn't know he was the son of Tunde Bakare, the popular preacher. The commandant immediately delivered a slap on the face of the young man and Segun replied with his own slap.
Continue...

Segun's mum had given the commandant a number to call when she dropped off her son in camp, so immediately this incident occurred, the commandant called Mrs Bakare and after a few words, the phone was handed to Pastor Tunde Bakare himself. The phone was on speaker and Segun heard his father's instructions and as soon as the phone call ended, he went down on his knees and started begging. The matter has since been resolved.

Man attempts suicide twice over eye problem

Culled from Punch
Taofeek Muraina never had it good as a child. His adulthood is not even better. This, perhaps, explains why the 40-year-old bricklayer thought it wise to die rather than being put to shame by friends and neighbours.
Twice this year, he has attempted suicide. The first time, Punch Metro learnt, was about five months ago, while the second one was on December 5.
On December 5, he had wanted to poison himself when a neighbour arrived on time and raised the alarm.
Muraina has been battling with an acute eye condition since when he was a child. As he grows, his condition worsens, making life unbearable for him.
Explaining reasons for attempting suicide, he said, “Life is unbearable for me. I was born with an eye problem. My wife, Tawa, left me and dumped our 10-year-old son with me. I learnt that she has got married to another man.
“I attempted to commit suicide by poisoning myself while my son and neighbours were not at home but my landlady got home while I was preparing the mixture.
His landlady, Mrs. Aminat Oseni, who said that Muraina had been her tenant for five years, explained that it was the second time that he attempted taking his own life.
Oseni said, “He (Muraina) is a friend to my son, Fatai, who is a welder. My son appealed to me that we should accommodate him when he came begging for accommodation.
“According to him, he was sent packing by his former landlord on the ground that the landlord’s family wanted to make use of the apartment. But he said the landlord only ejected him because of his eye problem.”
Muraina, whose left eyeball gorge from the socket, said, “This is causing acute pain for me. I have been living in pain since I was born. It became worse during the crisis within the National Union of Road Transport Workers three years ago at Moniya. I was hit in my eyes by an object and since then it had been worse.”
His relatives, according to him, came with a promise that they would help him but they never showed up again.
Muraina’s landlady said, “When they saw him they burst out crying. They said that they would take him to the hospital but they could not do so for lack of funds.”
A Mass Communication Student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Yusuf Oseni, said Muraina had not been having any medical attention as a result of poverty, adding, “That is why five months ago he attempted to commit suicide by hanging.
“Having tried all available means to help himself, he decided to take his own life. He has no money to treat himself in the hospital. He is alone with his problem. When he went to the University College Hospital, he was asked to pay N10m.
Muraina, a resident of Gunwin Akingbile, Moniya, Ibadan, Oyo State, said the excruciating pains he experienced on a daily basis had made life difficult for him.
He said, “I am a bricklayer and I mould blocks. People in the neighbourhood always make jest of me. I take native treatment because I cannot afford the cost of surgery.
“I decided to end it all because I could not afford the cost of surgery and no one wishes to help me. With my condition, I still manage to work to feed myself and my son but people hate me.”

Sambo Asks For Extra N9b For New Home/Office

The Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory has rejected plans by the Federal Capital Territory Administration to spend additional N9bn on the provision of infrastructure at the yet-to-be-completed residence of the Vice-President.

The committee, which visited the building site in Abuja on Thursday, refused to accept explanations from FCTA officials that N9bn more be sunk into the project.
Chairman of the Committee, Senator Smart Adeyemi, who led members of his committee to the site, said such a huge amount was unjustifiable in the face of abject poverty in the country.

The Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority, Adamu Ismail, told the committee that the project was awarded in 2009 at a cost of N7bn.
He said the additional fund was needed to provide furniture, fencing, two protocol guest houses, a banquet hall and other security gadgets.
According to Ismail, the proposal is not included in the original plan of the building being handled by Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.
He said, “We have worked out the details and passed it to Bureau for Public Procurement for consideration. They have sent it back to us with their observation. We requested N9bn but now it came to about N6bn.”
However, Smart said, “The National Assembly is not going to appropriate additional N9bn for the project, especially at a period in this country when people cannot get a square meal.
“The N9bn is far more than the original cost of the project.
“Fourteen billion Naria to me is huge for the Vice-President’s house. If you are even talking of N10bn that would be understandable.
“The reality is that N14bn is indefensible and that is our submission. In Nigeria there are still many people with empty stomach. So we have to look at budgeting in relation to the needs of the people.”
However, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Senator Domingo Obende, urged the officials to submit the details of the additional scope of work for which the fund was required to the committee for proper scrutiny.
The Vice-President’s residence had N2bn allocated to it in the FCTA’s 2013 budget.

Man Allegedly Ressurects After 7 Days In Mortuary [PICTURE]

For those who believe such stories...enjoy...:-)
He was murdered. After about seven days of inquiry into his ‘death’, his relatives went to the mortuary with a coffin to take his body but were shocked to find him alive. Lazarus Oluwafemi Agbolahan Makinde, now an evangelist shares his story.
To hear him, especially through the telephone receiver, you must be determined and very patient. The first time this reporter called him, the impression that initially came through as the voice was barely audible, was that he must have been tired out or had some ailment. It was indeed difficult deciphering the near whisper.
On meeting him, he came through as a very happy man, and the way he carried himself made that obvious. However, speaking with him explained the cause of the piteous voice quality… His throat was slashed; his head smashed and his genitals were severed in a bizarre murder act. But he is alive to tell the story! And to work on the astonishing story he told in Egba variant-tinted Yoruba language made it even more engaging, considering the fact that he had no western education.
Evangelist Makinde’s joy at being alive and able to bear children came through as he struggled to be heard and understood. And this explains his eagerness to tell his story over and over again.

Excerpts:
What Happened?
On the fateful day, two of my journey-men came to me and said they would like to go to my house with me and would sleep in my house. I asked them why and they both said their brothers had visitors. I told them I would not be driving home as I had intended to preach in the bus I would board… I was rounding off a three-day fast. Nevertheless, we went home together.
When we got home, I made three cups of tea and I went out to buy bread so we could eat from the stew my wife had prepared before she travelled. They said they were okay but I insisted. On my way, a neighbour, who is also a member of our church, and my landlord’s wife saw them and asked who my visitors were and I told them they were my co-workers who had come to pass the night in my house.

While I was away, they had added something to my tea and without knowing this I blessed the tea and drank. I passed out. In that state of unconsciousness, they slit my throat with a knife and removed my Adam’s apple, smashed my head so much that my brain could be seen and also cut my genitals. They took my money, locked me in the room and went away, leaving me for dead. And to think that they were my employees I was paying. One of them was Lukman Osunbiyi of Arigbajo near Ifo in Ogun State.
After some days, a foul smell had enveloped our yard and our neighbour’s. A neighbour known as Baba Isaac was the one that raised the issue of what was smelling because my room was adjacent to his. People were searching their rooms to find it. My room is on the way to the conveniences of our compound and our landlord was the one that found out that the smell was coming from my room. He called his wife, Mummy Moji, and asked what could be smelling in my room, ‘has he got dogs?’ The woman said she knew I had no dog. The man said they should send for my relations but they called our church members.

When the church members arrived at the scene, they said they could not break the door. So, they went and fetched my brother who was at Itire-Ijesha, known as Brother Kunle. He was the one that drove to Area G police station at Ogba. The police came, demanded for the duplicate key to my room from the landlord and he told them he could not lay his hands on the spare key. The police broke the door and they found my body in a pool of blood in the room… After four days.
This was late in the night of the fourth day. They took me to Idi Araba (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) and they were told to go and bury me. They went to Island Hospital, I was rejected; they went to Igbobi and they also rejected me there. I was eventually deposited at the Ikeja General Hospital mortuary. On the seventh day after the incident, members of our family went to Ikeja to retrieve my body. They went with a coffin, but the Almighty God had some point to prove. I was stacked with other dead bodies and when they got to me, they saw that I had raised my left hand and was waving it.

There was shouting and commotion at the mortuary. They took me into the hospital for treatment. I noticed that the doctors were confused as to where to start from or what to do. They had cut my throat and severed the oesophagus, my head was wide open while my manhood was dangling. But God raised one of the doctors, a white man named Daniel, through whom my rehabilitation commenced at the Ikeja General Hospital. He was the one who began some repairs of my throat and head. But it was difficult because the throat was gone, it is a cartilage and could hardly be sewn; while my head could sustain nothing and was gushing.

But somehow, he managed to cut an opening though the base of my neck and created a duct through which I was fed and given medicines. Breathing was a huge task, given the wound and the pain. And remember, my genitals were severed and suture was also nearly impossible.
There were lots of plastic holds and bandages on my neck and others… it was a sight to behold. I was later transferred to the ward.

It will interest you to know that while I was there in the ward, God appeared to me on two different occasions and said: “I am the Lord, your God. I have a task which you must accomplish.” After four days in the ward, all the pipes on me were removed by God knows who. Yes, my eyes were open but I could not see. It is needless to say that I could not talk. How and when the pipes were removed, I did not know. I kept hearing a voice telling me: “Am I not your God?” Amid that voice, the plastic and other things on my head were removed. When the nurses and others saw what had happened, there was commotion. They were asking who removed the things. They thought I had died and were confused.

When Dr Daniel arrived, he saw what had happened and exclaimed that he had never seen such a thing before. Eventually, they took me back to the theatre. He tried to replace the pipes and so on.

So, were there arrests after you came back to life?

When the news spread that I had resurrected, one of the persons that killed me committed suicide. The man’s was known as Olumide Timilehin. Lukman Osunbiyi ran away. I was told I could not procreate because my genitals had been severed. Secondly, the doctors also said that my brain was gone and that I would just be kept in a place and be fed and that I would not speak. I was passed as vegetable. It was such a difficult period. But God had some other plans.
One day, as our pastor was walking towards me and I just called out his name… I mean Pastor Oke, who was our pastor then at Christ Freedom Evangelical Ministry. That was the day I regained my voice and began to talk again. It was a great day of joy. In fact, when my mother heard what had happened, she walked to Ikeja, almost naked, to see for herself. Even after that incident, I still remained rooted to a spot, immobile.

While there, I kept hearing the police and the people talk about Lukman. The police asked me if I knew where he lived and I said I knew the place in Mushin. They asked if I could see and I said yes, just put me in the vehicle. When we got to Lukman’s residence at Mushin, we were directed to where he was at play. When we arrived at the place, they crosschecked his face with that in the photograph they had and saw that it was him truly. He attempted to jump over the fence but he was arrested by the policemen and my family members.

They accused him of murder and the matter was taken to court. It was during the hearings in court that Lukman revealed how they came about committing the murder. He spilled the beans, and revealed those who paid them to kill me. He said it was my half-brothers that paid him and Olumide to kill me in my room. There also, one of my brothers admitted that they agreed among themselves, and with Lukman, to just waste me.

Was Lukman jailed or what?

Towards the end of the matter, pointers were that Lukman and others could be sentenced to death as that was the submission of the state which was prosecuting the case. On one of the hearing days, I raised my hand and requested to speak. When I was given the opportunity, I asked that the matter be left for God to judge. I said I wouldn’t want to see them killed by the cause of this case. At some point in the matter, members of the family of Lukman came to my family and offered me N2million then, begging me to forgive their son and spare his life. They came through my relations and expressed disappointment in their son and brother. They were sorry and wanted to compensate me, but I said I did not need the money. I told them that it was God that brought me back to life and I therefore leave everything to Him.

What is your advice to people?
Anyone that has Christ has it all… Anyone that has Christ and believes in Him, and does the will of God. He says we are the temple of God and that He would fight for us. He is that one that fought for me because we are more than conquerors because of He who loves us. That is my story. I didn’t even tell you about my tongue that I bit so hard when I was struggling with death… I almost bit my tongue into two in the struggle for life.

The address is Abeokuta Street at Oke Odo, in Pleasure area. There is a Cherubim and Seraphim Church in front of the place. The people there would tell more than I have beccause they saw it all.
